Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of Merix Marketplace, including the customer-facing marketplace and the point-of-sale applications used by store owners. By using the platform, you agree to these terms.

The marketplace is a listing and ordering platform

Merix Marketplace connects customers with independent stores. Each store listed on the platform is an independent business responsible for its own products, pricing, inventory accuracy, and order fulfillment. Merix provides the technology that displays this information and facilitates ordering, but is not itself the seller of the goods listed.

For customers

• Prices, availability, and product descriptions are set and maintained by each individual store, and may change without notice.
• Orders are placed directly with the store you're purchasing from; disputes about an order (wrong item, refund, delivery) should be raised with that store first.
• Reviews must reflect a genuine experience with the store being reviewed. We reserve the right to remove reviews that are fraudulent, abusive, or unrelated to an actual purchase or visit.
• You're responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials if you create a customer account.

For store owners

• You're responsible for the accuracy of the products, prices, and stock levels you publish to the marketplace, and for fulfilling orders placed with your store.
• You agree not to use the platform to list prohibited, counterfeit, or illegal goods, or to misrepresent your business.
• Free access to the platform's tools may be limited by trial periods or feature tiers as described at sign-up; continued access to certain features may require an active subscription.
• We reserve the right to suspend or remove a store listing that violates these terms, misleads customers, or receives a sustained pattern of legitimate complaints.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the platform — including attempting to access another account without authorization, scraping the marketplace at scale without permission, interfering with the platform's normal operation, or using it for any unlawful purpose.

Advertising

Merix Marketplace displays advertising, including third-party ads served through Google AdSense and sponsored placements from store owners or the platform itself. Sponsored content is labeled as such where it appears.

Disclaimer of warranties

The platform is provided "as is." While we work to keep it reliable and accurate, we don't guarantee that every listing is error-free, that the marketplace will be available without interruption, or that any particular store will fulfill an order as expected — that responsibility sits with the individual store.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Merix Marketplace is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including disputes arising between customers and individual stores.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the platform evolves. Continued use of the platform after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
